Helen Hystek

Helen comes from a long family history in real estate. Her father was the President of the NZ Real Estate Institute as well as operating his own real estate agencies for over 40 years. Helen spent a lot of her younger years working in the family agencies, undertaking general administrative tasks, and supporting sales staff with agency agreements, title searches, property reports, and often out on the field showing clients residential and rural properties. This is where she developed her passion for Real Estate and where she learnt the importance of exceptional customer service!

Helen then went to sea for 15 years working in the Superyacht Industry as Purser and Watch Keeper. She also founded and ran two businesses, one being ‘Yacht Crew International Ltd’, an International Recruitment Agency based in New Zealand and Ft Lauderdale Florida. The other business was ‘The Word’, a website marketing company based in Qatar - Middle East.

Helen married a Marine Engineer from Tamworth NSW, they had two children, and in 2010 they moved to Tamworth permanently. Helen returned to the Real Estate Industry in 2016 working for The Professionals in Tamworth.

In 2019 Helen went out on her own as ‘Helen Hystek Properties’. She is now a Class 1 Licensed Real Estate and Stock & Station Agent selling Residential, Small Acreage and Rural Properties in the Tamworth Region.

Those that know Helen describe her as honest, genuine, reliable and hardworking. Her aim is to provide first-rate service and achieve the best possible results for all her clients and to be the agent you go to first!
